Renovating an Apartment on Obilićev Venac – A Challenging and Successful Project

The renovation of an apartment on Obilićev Venac, in a building dating back to 1920, was a challenging yet highly inspiring project in which TREND Enterijeri played a part. Our focus was on dressing the windows with curtains and creating an elegant, welcoming atmosphere.

The apartment was divided into day and night zones, arranged around a central core containing the utility rooms. Our main contribution was to the open-plan living area, where we carefully selected and installed curtains that are both functional and decorative. With windows overlooking the street, the curtains play a key role in controlling natural light and ensuring privacy in the living room, kitchen and dining area. The glass partition with steel framing that separates the kitchen was further enhanced with textile details, adding warmth to the space.

In the night-time zone, comprising two bedrooms, the curtains were chosen to create a sense of luxury and intimacy. Particular care was taken to ensure they complemented the elegant style of the space, enhanced by wooden features such as the hand-laid oak parquet flooring.

Throughout the project, the curtains played an important role in defining the ambience and striking a balance between contemporary design and the historic character of the property. This project is a perfect example of how carefully selected textile solutions can enhance both the aesthetics and functionality of an interior.
